Scholastic Sanskrit

As a beginner trying to find my way in a commentary, I often got discouraged by the technical language used and soon I had to drop it. Now, thanks to my friend Péter who pointed it to me, I am in possession of a great book, "Scholastic Sanskrit" by Gary A. Tubb & Emery R. Boose.
This Book helps you to understand and use the five services provided by commentaries:
  1. padaccheda - division of words;
  2. padārthokti - statement of the meaning of the words;
  3. vigraha - analysis of complex formations;
  4. vākyayojanā - construing the sentences;
  5. ākṣepasamādhāna - the answering of objections.
